Right this way Corporal if you'll follow me please.
Heading out of Captain Maxwell's office and down the hallway, exiting the recruitment facility and heading over to the Main Hanger (Mech Choosing Thread) with Corporal Shea Anzovino following close behind
Just go to the Main Hanger thread and post in there to the Quartermaster (he's an NPC so you can have him react just about anyway you want, he's starting to develop a rather surly personality if you read the previous posts about him. Also just about any 'mech can be requested provided its within the confines of the BattleTech universe

"damn it! must it rain today?" jak wispered to himself as he tries his best to wring his olive green berret, running to take shelter under the concret overhead of the recruitment facility. Checking to see if he looked presentable, brushing his brown leather boots on the ground, Jak took a deep breath and stepped inside. His mind filled with anxiety and yet his eyes sparkled with the promise of adventures to come
"Jak S Wildmen here! Where do i sign up?"

As Victor walked through the chilling rain, he wondered if he had made the right decision. Here he was, hundreds of light years from home, about to join a mercenary command that he had never heard of until a month ago.
Am I really doing the right thing? Maybe I shouldn't be here...maybe I should just go home to Tharkad...
Victor shook his head, affirming his decision to himself.
I don't have a home on Tharkad anymore...another casualty. There is nothing for me left in the Alliance...if I'm going to find a path to follow in life, I'm not going to find it there. Here is where I will make my stand.
Upon reaching the awning, Victor brushed the rain off his heavy, Tharkan wintercoat. Straightening the collar, he stepped into the front office, determined to make a good first impression. Entering the office, he stepped forward, and gave a crisp salute to those in the room. He then dropped his arm, reaching into his coat and producing a data disk, which he offers to the recruitment officer.
"Greetings. My name is Victor Eisenfaust, and I was informed that this is where to go to join the Legionnaires. I hereby submit my former military records for inspection, and hereby submit a formal request to join your unit."
Victor handed over the data disk, and took a step back, awaiting the reply.
Here's the initial recruitment post. Should I submit my dossier at this time, or wait for approval first?

Welcome aboard Wildman, if you haven't already done so please ensure to get your information to on record here at the Legionnaires (ie, post your character bio in the dossiers section) and then head out to the Main Hanger to request a BattleMech.
Snapping a salute to the new MechWarrior before he turns and heads out of the office. A moment later a heavily clad man stepped through the door straightening his collar and snapping a formal salute. Returning the salute and listening to his address, I nod towards him.
"Greetings to you as well Victor. you were informed correctly, this is the place to request acceptance into the Legionnaires ranks."
Taking the data disc from him, I quickly scan through its contents nodding my head
"Very impressive Mr. Eisenfaust. Welcome aboard the Legionnaires its nice to have you here."
Holding up the data disc and shaking it gently I explain the next steps after recruitment.
"Now that your part of the Legionnaires, first we'll make sure this gets into the Dossier Archives immediately (you can post your dossier any time now) and then head down to the Main Hanger to request a 'mech or register and submit your application for use of a current 'mech. We will be beginning our first OP very shortly, so please be quick about it. That is all."
After another formal salute, I watch as Victor Einsenfaust turns to head out of the recruitment office, on his way out I speak causing him to pause for just a moment.
"It's good to have you with us."

"It's good to have you with us."
Victor turned at the comment from the Captain, and for the first time in a long time, a bit of a smile graced his lips.
"Thank you sir. I'll do my best to be worthy of this unit."
With that, he turned, and headed for the hanger.

Familiar with military protcols from my time in the militia, I snapped a salute to the commanding officer.
Sergei Zhukov reporting for orders sir!
At ease. You look like you have done this before. What sort of experience do you have?
Sir, my last post was Platoon Commander of the 1st Miltia Armored Company. I am familiar with several tank variants such as the Bulldog, Von Luckner, Rommel and several other hovertank types. I have about 70+ Hours in a simulator for medium mechs, with marks of excellent profiency. If I may do so I'd prefer a tank, but I will take whatever I'm given. Sir.
The Commander looked at me and mulled over the information that I had given him. I waited for my new assignment.

Returning the salute I look the new recruit up and down before responding.
At ease. You look like you have done this before. What sort of experience do you have?
Listening intently to what the Private has to say nodding my head as I checked over the information on a datapad.
Alright sounds good Private, we dont have a tank unit yet, but once we return from the current OP we should be able to work something out, in the mean time you should get your dossier information up and head over to the New Recruits Testing section, we recently got the training simlulation operational and are using it to test applicants combat abilities. Unfortunately it's only available for 'mech simulation right now, we're working on upgrading it.
After a moments pause I smile after checking something on the datapad again
I see you already have your dossier information up. Good job private. Report back here when you finish the training exercise, good luck. Its good to have you aboard Private.

After that short mission, it had whetted my appetite for more. I reported in and snapped one of the crispest salutes to date.
Sir, Private Zhukov reporting in. Mission Accomplished successfully. I await further orders.
I tried to not convey much emotion, but at the same time I felt relieved that I did so well for my first combat outing in a mech.

I eased myself into a large leather chair.
"Well sir, I have piloted a 'Mech before. I was once part of house Steiner. I can take orders very well and I'm known sometimes as the joker, so I am a very friendly person. I left house Steiner for several reasons, but I wanted to continue piloting. I found the Legionnaires and decided I would take a shot at it."

I smiled as I looked through Alex's dossier."Well, I'm delighted that you chose our organization to continue your career. And I'm certain that Agent Schuster and Lieutenant Eisenfaust will be happy to have another Lyran to keep them company." I closed the folder, and handed it back to Alex."Everything seems to be in order here. When you're ready, head over to the simulator for your final test. Did you have any further questions for me?"
