Smoke billowed from the Annihilator's carcass as Captain's Gunman's Mad Cat Hybrid struggled to regain his feet. Victor watched as Captain Maxwell moved forward to engage Isis, and he knew that the Captain wouldn't stand for being kept out of this fight...at the same time, a thought crossed Victor's mind, one that would allow him to keep the Captain safe, and still allow him to be part of the fray. Checking to make sure the enemy hadn't broken their coded communications channel, Victor toggled the mic.
"Castle-1, sorry to bother you again, but I have an idea. If we can convince Isis that someone else is running this party, he may not target your mech...instead, he'll try and take out the commander of the enemy, to help route them..."
"What would this involve, Castle-4?"
"Castle-1, I would broadcast on all channels a message for Isis to surrender, stating that I am the commander of the forces attacking him. Hopefully, this ruse will draw his fire toward me, and away from you. I await your permission to proceed with this ruse, over."

As I twist my torso towards the dropship the entire 'mech shudders violently to the side, warning alarms and lights going crazy in the cockpit as I struggle to keep the Phoenix upright, unable to do so I topple to the side rotating and sliding on my back across the dirt.
Checking my damage indicators I see that my right shoulder has gone black and the right torso yellow.
Oh now he's asking for it, alot of work went into this thing....
Cranking on the controls I right the Phoenix in record time and straighten the torso out to face him. Keying the comm so that Isis can hear me, I punch the controls forward breaking the Phoenix into a run strafing around towards the right side of Isis' Stone Rhino.
You shouldn't have done that Isis. You don't know who your f*cking with
Au contrair my dear friend, I know exactly who you are...
Hitting the comm and cutting him off before he can continue I grit my teeth and train the targetting reticule on his 'mech. Opening firing with a SRM streak followed up by continous R/AC5 rounds pounding into his armour, the R/AC5 shells impacting and pocketing his armour all across his left arm and torso, slowly but surely chewing through his armour hungry to rip into the internals. My right R/AC5 jammed as I continue to fire, swearing under my breath as the left one jams as well. Isis swings his behemoth around and levels that Heavy Gauss on my 'mech. His right side is slammed with a full out alpha strike from Captain Maxwell's Stalker throwing his aim off just enough when he fires the Heavy Gauss the shell impacts into my right torso nearly obliterating the armour there. The impact wrenches the torso sideways and is stopped violently by the inhibitors, tipping the 'mech onto its right leg, the gyro straining wildly to keep the Phoenix upright.
Im not falling over again I say to myself as I through my body weight to the other side of the chair in a futile attempt to counter the weight and twist and crank on the controls, white knuckled, until the Phoenix rotates back enough to slam the left leg back onto the ground and stabilize itself. Once again twisting the torso to face Isis as the critical armour warnings blar through the cockpit. A quick check on the damage indicators shows that the right torso is flashing red with about 7% armour remaining.
So you wanna play rough?
I again think to myself as I backpedal slightly away from Isis, firing the twin heavy machine guns while I wait for the R/AC5s to unjam.

All I could do was watch as the Captains were plowing into Isis's Stone Rhino with all the power they could. I decided to check the surronding area to prevent any unneded occurances. My radar showed clean besides the forces we were already engaged with, but I didn't want to take a chance. I knew the Captains could do it, so I didn't even have to watch. I just hoped that someone else might not accidently forget that we need Isis alive. But then I saw Corporal Eisanfaust's 'mech, and knew that he would stop anyone from doing that. He was watching the battle very closely... it seemed like he was about to unleash a fury of mass weaponry on the Stone Rhino. Of course, the Corporal was a great leader, so I decided to go do my check around here.

I had the urge for combat, so I decided I would knock Isis's mech down. Aiming for it's legs, I fire several rounds, and he falls. "****! Gaaahhh!" he says. Damn I'm good, I'm gonna make sure you don't get back up! I aim for his mech's main gyro, intending to make my promise good.

Before the Corporal had the chance to finish off Isis' 'Mech, the Stone Rhino twisted its torso toward the diminutive Cauldron-Born, firing a heavy gauss round square into the center of its torso, literally lifting it from its feet and throwing it back several yards before it crashed to the ground. As the 100-ton behemoth dragged itself to its feet, I charged toward it, hammering away with round after round of punishing LRM fire that caused the 'Mech to buck wildly under the impacts. Captain Gunman, whose 'Mech had finally pulled itself upright, added to the barrage with a series of well-placed Alpha strikes that severed tendons and crippled actuators. The Stone Rhino began to stumble as one of its legs began to break, and I took full advantage of the opportunity by landing a devastating blast from my remaining ER large lasers into the back of its knee joint. The leg was wrought free below the knee, and the Stone Rhino crashed to the ground, unable to stand. My Stalker thundered toward the fallen 'Mech, and I levelled my sights square on the monster's cockpit. I toggled my P.A. system, and turned the volume to full, so there would be no doubt that both Isis and the surrounding forces would hear the announcement.
"Hadrian Isis. Under article 124-387, paragraph 4, subsection 8 of the Treaty of Tukyyid, I am placing you under arrest for attempted acts of warfare against the sovereign House Kurita. You will immediately stand down your weapons systems and surrender your BattleMech to Legionnaire forces, and prepare for immediate transfer into the hands of Kell Hound authorities. Any deviation from this directive will be met with extreme force."
As the last words trailed off, I saw Isis' escape hatch blow as his ejection pod prepared to launch. In two strides, my Stalker had closed the distance between our respective 'Mechs, and had placed its foot atop the Stone Rhino's head, trapping the pod, and prohibiting Isis' escape. He wasn't going anywhere.

My mech took the hit, but I was worried about how much damage it did. I could see now that Isis could have destroyed Gunman, had I not taken him down. I asked one of the Captains, Hey, Captain, did I help a lot? I think I did.

I watch in amazement at the feirce battle that Isis' Stone Rhino put up. A very impractical emch but it was truly a beast, and you never wanted to be the one to face it. Even in my Atlas, I still dreaded the site of a Stone Rhino more than that of a pair of Dire Wolves. Isis was brought to a sudden halt and the battle was finished.
I stood and assessed the damages. Right and Left torsoss suffered heavy damage from the internal explosions of the LRM launchers. My center torso had taken quite a number of Autocannons and the like but it still read orange on my HUD, which flickered sporadically. My arms were fine, onthign ubt armor damage. Rear torso read blinking red on the HUD. too many LRMs when I was face down. What worried me was the internal structure of the mech. That Urbie had done serious damage with its DFA and attempted tackles. It would take weeks to hammer those dings out. I was still standing though and I even thought I could handle about 3 more Thors before things would get dangerously risky. Maybe it was just my ego talking.
I faced the downed mech, hoping for some very nice salvage. Most of its weapons looked intact and even if the Stone Rhino's actuators, which were notoriously unreliable, were destroyed, the parts that that mech had would sell for quite a high dollar. I still remained unsure if those dammned Black Ops would interfere with my rescourcefulness again. Gentlemen - I use the term loosely - if we're done, lets get the hell outta dodge.

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have been sick. I caught a cold from standing in line for 4 hours Monday night waiting to get my copy of Halo 2 at Midnight. And to make matters worste I have been really busy at work. I couldn't take sick leave or I might of not had a job to go back to.
New assignments. Spectre-2 Engage the dropship, try to take out any defenses around the 'mech bay and blow those doors,.....
Copy that, sir.
My 55 ton Bushwacker against a dropship. This will be fun. I hit the zoom on the HUD and get a real good look at the drop ship. Making a mental note of weapon emplacements. Making a quick scan of the area arond it I only see some infantry standing guard. The rest of the 'Mechs and vehicals had moved out to engage the rest of my unit. By shear luck I catch a glimpse of some ammo crates under a tarp with a couple of loose straps.
I may have found a key to those doors sir. If I can survive long enought to use it.
I pushed my throttles to it's stops. My 'Mech quickly reaches it's 86 km/h top speed. I train the fire from my BlazeFrie Sweetshot ER Laser into the gun mounts follow by streams of shells from my Mydron Excel LB-X autocannon. I manage to take out most of the guns facing me with only a few missiles making it through my Mainfire Point Defence System to score hits arcross my torso. As I get closer to the dropship I gain protection from it's own gearth and limited arcs on it's guns. I take a few pulse laser hits that nearly strip the armor off my right arm. Another turret dies and now it is time to take on the infantry. Swithing to cluster munitions I pour autocannon fire into the poor men and throw dual Holly-4 Packs into them just for good measure.
Ok genius your are standing under a enemy dropship with most of the defenders ignoring me. The guns can't get me but this still seams like a bad idea.
"Those ammo crates whould look better by that door. Maybe I should move them." I said to no one and not really careing is the voice mic picked it up. Best to let the rest of the unit know I'm nuts. Using my 'Mech's only hand I begin moveing the crates.

Victor smiled as the Captain dropped Isis and held him down with the massive leg of his Stalker. Victor heard several of his unitmates hollering in triumph, promptly declaring victory. Isis commrades disagreed however, as the Black Hawk, Cyclops, and Kodiak came into weapons range.
"Castle-4 to all Legionnaires. It isn't quite time to declare victory yet my friends. We have new targets on the scope! Looks like the remainder of Isis command isn't going down without a fight!"

Sorry guys for not posting! i was kinda busy with exams, no end in sight though, ends on the 25th
Spectre-4 engage the support vehicles and any support 'mechs that may still be lingering along this side of the dropship
Roger that Spectre-1, good luck out there.
I pushed the trottle to its max position as my Thor lurch away from the assault formation. Mutiple enemy contacts were still showing up in the rader, notably was one totally surrounded by 3 friendlies. A flash of metal caught my eye. I looked up and there was another Urbanmech dashing toward the back of Desperado's already smoking Atlas! Damn it, he needs help I pushed the controls hard toward the right as the gyros struggled to compenstate. Laser blasts rocked The Atlas as the Urbanmech circled to its vunerable back. Come on, come on... YES! The crosshair on the HUD finally indicated my weapons were in range as i let off an Alpha Strike straight into the left torso of the Urbanmech. Desperado managed to turn aroud to see it topple to the ground amid flames. The pilot mananged to eject.
Thank me later Rouge-1, watch your six I hurried off to complete my orders.Hope Murphy's alright
The Dropship was a meancing sight. It's weapons systems were alive and dangerous as i struggled to dodge its many gauss shell and laser blasts. From what i can tell, Murphy was in much need of assitance. Besides having to combat the superior fire power of the Dropship, two Urbanmechs had him dancing like crazy. I fired off a PPC shot and watched as they turned their attention to me. I'll handle those two chubbies Spectre-2, finish off the Dropship, it'll be healtheir for both of us. Come and get me
Jump jets fired as i let off couple of LBX rounds right into Urbie 1. They might be smaller, but dont underestimate em I reminded myself. As if they were reading my mind, both of them let off a devastating amount of ordanance, hitting Hardkick all over the place. Damage indicate yellows and oranges on the right arm and right torso. Before i had time to recover, a gauss round from the Dropship rocked my cockpit. "Damn". The PPC on my right arm was out of commission. I blasted my jump jets, hopping to make myself less of a sitting duck. More laser blasts rocked my mech as it was in the air. It wasnt looking good. Gottcha now!. My thor promptly obeyed gravity as the jets emptied and it fell back down, sending its foot straight into the cockpit of Urbie 2, crushing it like cardboard. Twisting the torso to face Urbie 1, i let off more weapon fire on the already damaged left torso. BAM! He went down crashing hard into the ground, a gaping hole where the left torso used to be.
With those two gone, the Dropship was all the was left. It'll take more than a thor and a bushwhacker to finish that off. i thought to myself as yet another gauss shell made its home in my mech. Hope Murphy's alright.
"Sepctre-1, this is Spectre-4, support mechs disspatched, moving to engage Dropship over. Gonna need a little help, Me and Murphy are pretty banged up.

While I was leaving to go check the area, I did manage to see a site; the Captain's Stalker's foot was standing right on Isis' only way out.I quickly manuvered through the trees. My scopes had still shown no signs of... I had just noticed that there were threee other enemys on radar.
Darn it, I forgot to take down that Cyclops. I shouldn't of let it go.
My thoughts raced as I couldn't decide to attack the 'mechs or scout out the area. Soon, a message came through the comm.
"Castle-4 to all Legionnaires. It isn't quite time to declare victory yet my friends. We have new targets on the scope! Looks like the remainder of Isis command isn't going down without a fight!"
I turned the Raven as hard as I could to turn around. It was fortunate I was able to get back in time for the battle. I decided that I should just stay back and try to hit the enemies; my 'mech wasn't near strong enough to help out in a straight on attack. However, it suddenly came to my mind that the Captain could not move off of the Stone Rhino without Isis escaping.
"Castle-2 to all LEGIONNARES, we have to protect Captain Maxwell; he can't move from where he is. Makes him a great target.

"Castle-2 to all LEGIONNARES, we have to protect Captain Maxwell; he can't move from where he is. Makes him a great target.
Wraith Lance, defensive screen on Capt. Maxwell NOW! I don't care what it takes, but protect him at ALL costs!
Wraith-1, I copy that Wraith-2 Affirmative. Wraith-3 Providing ECM Coverage.
The Hunchback IIc and Marauder IIc moved quickly to Capt. Maxwell's Stalker. Backs to the mech facing out. They were literally making a physical barrier between him an any hostile unit. The Raven cranked up ECM power preventing anythin but manual placed shots to be used on the Stalker or the Stone Rhino.
Wraith Lance is in position sir.
This is Ghost-1 I copy that.
I sat in my mech continuing to provide security for the Dropship's remains. The salvage crews would be arriving shortly and it wouldn't do to have them destroyed. Ghost-2 and 3, escort cleanup crews.
Copy that Ghost-1.
With that said, I pulled alongside the Legionnaires Atlas. If anything was going to try anything while he was shutdown, they'd have to go through me. I keyed up the comm for a transmission that only Rogue-1 could hear.
Rogue-1, I'm here if anything goes down. I know I need to earn your trust, so I won't act like I have it. Do know this though. I have great honor which is most important to me. On my honor I will not betray Capt. Maxwell, you or any of the Legionnaires. You have my word and Bushido dictates that failing to hold a promise is dishonorable and the only recourse is taking my own life. All that I ask is that you give me a chance to earn your trust.

After having righted my 'mech and let loose a few more alphas into the Stone Rhino I got a great sense of pleasure watching it go down, sighing for a moment thinking it was over, I saw Captain Maxwell put his foot down on top of the escape hatch, chuckling and smiling to myself I hit the comm.
Well it looks like we've got him, nice touch there Captain.
Suddenly the threat indicators went red all across the board, warning of hostile contacts at my 6 o'clock, quickly rotating about I bring the 'mech to face this new threat as Corporal Victor Eisenfaust come on the comm.
Castle-4 to all Legionnaires. It isn't quite time to declare victory yet my friends. We have new targets on the scope! Looks like the remainder of Isis command isn't going down without a fight!
Well well well, these guys just don't give up.I think to my self as I watch on my rear monitor as the Hunchback and Maruader form up on Captain Maxwell's Stalker I step to the side to allow them clear firing paths to the three new targets, drawing a bead on the closest one I hit the public comm so the enemy units will hear me.
You guys just don't give up do you? We've already brought down your Captain, and trust me we won't go so easy on you. Are you sure you wanna do this?
Wondering if them facing down the barrel of a Maruader IIC, Hunchback IIC, Hauptmann, Mad Cat Hybrid, and any other combat fit friendly on the field would deter them, cause I really didnt want to take any more lives, although those 3 'mechs would make some pretty good salvage....

Spectre-1, this is Spectre-4, support mechs disspatched, moving to engage Dropship over. Gonna need a little help, Me and Murphy are pretty banged up. Moving towards the dropship and turning on the team comm, I respond, Spectre-4, this is Castle-3, I'll cover you, your gonna need to get a few friendly Gauss' and lasers up there, right? Preparing an Alpha strike, I intended to make good on my word.
