Meanwhile, somewhere in space…
“What?! Four days of decrypting algorithms and translating the ancient text… ALL WASTED because of your incompetence?!” I screeched at Dr Faulkner. He flinched at every word that flew out of my mouth.
“IF YOU hadn’t of wasted your time… we could have had ALL of the navigational logs The Oracle had to offer instead of only HALF! Even the half that we collected is mostly corrupted due to the crash!” I screamed. Faulkner remained silent.
I breathed in deeply. I was filled with utter fury. Yes, I did have the Jade Map Stone. However, what good was it if I didn’t know the location of the Jade Stone Fortune?! I didn’t have the patients to start research on the stone again… and my staff didn’t seem COMPETANT enough to deal with it.
“My lord… we did find something that may be valuable to our cause…” the Doctor said in a tone that reminded me of how a punished child would try and redeem himself after the punishment was given. How pathetic. Still I let out a grunt, signalling him to continue. He didn’t deserve anything else.
“My lord, in the sections of data that wasn’t corrupt, we found the planet that the ship had gone to BEFORE it was abandoned on Hamal…Evidence from the data logs show that the creators of the Oracle settled on this planet… and since we know that the creators of Oracle were the creators of the tomb… perhaps we can find out the location of the Jade Stone Fortune through them?”
The Doctor had restore my faith in him. Well… just a little.
“And the name of the planet?”
“… Vashala… My Lord.”
“Set a coarse directly for Vashala.” .” I commanded. Faulkner sprang from his spot and rushed towards an intercom, relaying my order.
Excellent. Now that we knew where to find the creators of the Jade Stone Fortune, it would only be a matter of time before I would become the supreme ruler of the Inner Sphere. I couldn’t help but laugh to myself. I was filled with such excitement… the type of excitement I only usually experienced in battle… when killing someone. How I loved it.
“Sire… why did you not let me take care of Kei-teh when I had the chance. You know I swore to destroy ALL of the Kintaru tribe. came a voice from the shadows.
Ah Saburo! I see you’ve finished your training.” I said with a slight smile on my face. Saburo was definitely someone I could depend upon… he was the ultimate warrior… next to myself.
“If by training you mean setting me loose into a room filled with unarmed men and women… yes I finished. But it’s hardly worthy of my time and skill…”
He stepped out of the shadows covered in blood. Such a sadistic warrior… truly the best product to come out of my brainwashing and body manipulation program I started ten years ago. Yes, a very fine product. A true killing machine… just like myself.
"Saburo, I needed to take care of those maggots personally. It was essential to our cause.”
“BUT SIRE! This was about fighter’s pride and honour I needed to fulfil…”
“SILENCE! … fighter’s pride… how dull! The Inner Sphere is your arena Saburo… Forget that way immediately. You have a cause worthy of yourself. It is the ideal that we are all working towards. Do you understand?”
“… Yes… sire” Saburo replied taking his leave as he did.
Perhaps Saburo needs another… session. Even though he has sworn his alliance to me, under my influence of coarse, he still hangs on dearly to the first ideals I had forcefully programmed into his brain.
No matter, he still knows his place. And if he steps out of line… he’s still no match for me.
“Our coarse has been plotted my lord.” said Faulkner.
“Excellent.”
Soon… I thought to myself as I burst out laughing.

Luck had intervened to save the Inner Sphere… but for how long?
