Overview: A solid and dependible mech design built by experienced mech artisans. Custom design and modifications built to order on the factory floor. The heart and soul of the Inner Sphere is within this mech.
Capabilities: The CN9-K modified Centurion is equiped with manual weapons, short range missle systems, and long range balistic capacities. Triple strength myomers enable this mech to powerfully slash thourgh oposing mech that foolisly draw too close. Additionaly, this model of Centurion carries a special payload of short-range armor piercing rounds for dispatching superior close range mechs.
Deployment: The CN9-K is meant to be deployed as a quick flanking mech to break enemy defensive lines, it also functions as a strong shock unit against lighter mechs. Most sensibly, they would only be used in pairs or independent of the main lance.

Overview: House Davion’s answer to the Lyran’s medium Blitzkrieg design, the Legionnaire is a
fast, well armored medium ’Mech built around a single weapon system. Originally designed with
a single rotary autocannon slaved to a sophisticated targeting computer, the Legionnaire
became known for its deadly accuracy after its production began during the Word of Blake
Jihad. The export version, produced for sale, swaps the rotary cannon in favor of a less
sophisticated variety, but retains the same targeting capabilities for increased accuracy.

Overview: The last two decades have been a time of opportunity for Defiance Industries, with the technological renaissance solidifying their reputation as the principle 'Mech manufacturer in the Inner Sphere. New BattleMech designs have rolled off the production lined buried in the Myoo Mountains, including the Cobra Medium 'Mech and Salamander Assault 'Mech. Brandel Gareth's abortive revolt in 3057 could have cost the company dearly. Instead, the brief conflict brought to light a number of design flaws in the company's new flagship model, the Defiance BattleMech, production of which was immediately suspended. Rather that allowing this setback to derail their plans, Defiance immediately began work on a new design, the Fafnir Assault BattleMech, intended to showcase the companies abilities. Prototypes entered service in late 3061, and full-scale production is expected to commence in early 3063.
Capabilities: Borrowing heavily from the Atlas, also produced on Hesperus, the Fafnir epitomizes the Lyran philosophy of size and strength rather than finesse. Massing a hundred tons with almost twenty tons of armor, the design is impervious to all but the heaviest -- or luckiest -- of shots. A sophisticated Guardian ECM suite adds to the 'Mechs defenses, hindering the operation of enemy targeting and communication systems. Like the Atlas, the Fafnir has a top speed of 54 kph, though its fusion plant is twice the mass of the older machine. Though reducing the design's payload by 10 tons, it was argued that this increased its survivability, eliminating engine KOs due to side-torso destruction. It also ensured sufficient space was available for the design's principle armament, a pair of Hammerfist heavy gauss rifles. These massive weapons, nicknamed "Thor's Hammer," combine range and firepower to deadly effect and, despite the systems drawbacks, are extremely popular in the LAAF. The greatest criticism leveled at the design is its over-reliance on the Hammerfists, with only a pair of extended range medium lasers and a single medium pulse laser to defend the 'Mech if it exhausts its ammunition.
Deployment: Prototype Fafnirs have deployed to pro-Katherine units along the Jade Falcon border, as well as to "patriotic" units like the Royal Guard, where it has replaced older designs like the Banshee and Zeus Assault BattleMechs. Though ill suited to general patrol operations, the design has found a home among assault units, particularly those assigned to breach enemy lines and fortifications. One such unit is the VS (Valiant Stormer) company of the Third Lyran Guards on Graceland, who have been impressed by the Fafnirs performance in exercises, nicknaming it "mugger" because of its combination of simplicity and brutality.
Known Variants: This chassis is a variant of the Fafnir FNR-5 Prime design.

Overview: This Hollander BZK-G3 is designed to be a powerful skirmishing mech, intended for long-range harrasment of enemy forces. The BZK-G3 is heavily armored for increased durability and longevity in battle.
Capabilities: The primary tactical strength of this Hollander variant is it's Light Gauss Rifle, affording it both extremely long range and signifigant fire power. Also, a pair of medium pulse lasers ensures fierce battle at closer ranges.
Deployment: Due to the intersting amalgam of components, this mech is essentially built from a kit. This is a one of a kind mech, accordingly it's deployment will be nearly nil.

Overview: The Mad-3k Marauder is a combination fire support/ fast attack mech suited for a variety of terrains and battle conditions. The mixture of power and long range in the Mad-3k's primary weapons makes it a fierce contender to any mech's dominance of a battlefield.
Capabilities: This Marauder is equiped first and foremost with the mighty Long Tom Cannon, which can bring swift and inexorable death to most weakend mechs at close range. Additionally, extended range Large Lasers add a very dependible amount of effectiveness to its medium and long ranged combat perforamnce. A suite of defensive countermeasures to discourage missle volleys include Gaurdian ECM and an AMS system. Lastly, a very powerful Fusion XL engine allows the Mad-3k to be quite nimble on the battle field, making it far more capable of evading enemy fire than most assault mechs.
Deployment: The Mad-3k Marauder can be deployed easily and readily into any situation. It is a swift, stalwart defender just as much as it is a tenacious harrasing unit. It's counter-measures make it a viable ambush unit and it's speed makes it an effective member of a patrol-in-force party. Your needs affects what it does, rather than it's needs affecting what you do.
