Hey Leatherneck, good to have you back, I was actually getting ready to send out emails to several of the old members to see if they might still be interested.
Just as a heads up we brought the site back up for use as our Clan site on Mech Assault 2 : Lone Wolf for the Xbox, but we are planning on continueing the RPG elements of the site as well. I for one am extremely glad to get the site back into operation.
Also just so you know, because the site will be used for our Clan homepage, not all members on here will be interested in the RPG elements of the site, which of course is not a problem, just a simple warning that not all members will participate, although everyone is more than welcome to of course.
As a final note, once we get enough members interested in the RPG elements, we plan on reviving OP 2 from the archives and actually doing it, lol.

Well each person types in the first person and colour codes their message according to what they are typing about. Red text means an action, or description, basically the narrative part. White means you yourself are talking, yellow means NPC or other person is talking (lets you make certain people say exactly what you want, lol), green is communication chatter (between 'mechs or over the base comm system) Blue is out of character, and I think thats it. There is a full list in the getting started section under "How to post" or something similar to that.
Usually for an OP, it starts out with one or more of the COs giving a mission breifing and from there it opens up to allow all posters to do more or less what they want, each person plays off of what the people before them posts, and its usually the CO in charge of the OP that progresses the OP through major points, such as loading the dropship, reaching the planet, getting off the dropship and engaging the enemy. The usually do it in a way that is more or less open ended though, such as an announcement that the all personnel must board the dropship since it will be departing in 20 minutes or something like that. Also the time in the OP is not the same as real life, there is no minimum amount you have to post, although we prefer if the participants are active on a daily basis, just because it makes things progress faster.
If you would like to see an actual RP scenario as an example you could check out the first or second page of OP : Broken Arrow in the archive. (I just dont feel like really typing one out right now, plus seeing one from multiple people is a better example anyways, lol)
