As Ben said Keith, this is on old site that he and I ran a LONG time ago. Im not a 100% sure what you mean by pen and paper roleplaying on here, I mean I know what it is and everything and I too enjoy it greatly, what I mean is on here its more just typing out your actions and stuff and simply following within a set of rules, similar to pen and paper, but without the dice and stuff often used.
Like Ben said, its probably best to read through some of the archives, or all if you have a lot of free time, lol, but that will give you an idea of what we were doing.
Also if your still interested in it once you read it, and would consider taking part, I too want to get the roleplaying part back up and working, of course we'll probably have to wait until we get the rest of the site up and running at peak efficiency again. Speaking of which, Ben if you need a hand with anything, you know where to reach me.
Well I for one am kind of glad we get to start out fresh, at least this way we have a slightly better idea of how to run the Clan more safely and efficiently (2-3 clans under our belts now gives us lots of experience ;D ) and we can keep things more the way we want I think. Plus as an added bonus I love the whole idea of using the Legionnaires again. I havent checked if its still there yet, but I wrote a very extensive history on the unit back for the RPG part.
Anyways enough of my incoherent ramblings, its nice to see that this site and the Legionnaires unit are going to be used again, and glad to see several people stuck with us.

Oh hey, and now for an actual question like this thread is suppose to be used for, lol (referring to my last rambling post)
Whats the [AE] Clan Tag on Xbox LIVE for? I know its the tag, but what does the AE stand for? I may know this already, but I just need my memory refreshed then.

AE (or more accurately, Æ, if Live! had a proper ASCII set), is, as Answers.com so astutely defines it, a vowel and a grapheme used in the Icelandic, Danish, Faroese and Norwegian alphabets. It was also used in Old English and in mediæval and early modern Latin. Modern English still contains several words that use æ, such as Encyclopædia, but it is falling into disuse. The origin of the letter is a ligature for AE. Used heavily in ancient Roman texts, the vowel was arguably one of the most important characters in early Latin, and served as a common building block toward the modern languages used by nearly every Western society today. I feel strongly that communication, above all else, is key to the success of not only a lance, but an entire Clan, and as such, I thought it only fitting that this simple vowel should serve as a reminder of the ideal which we should hold in highest esteem. Thus our Clan tag was born. If you're interested in reading more about the origins of the Æ vowel, check out the full article at www.answers.com/main/ntquery?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=%C3%86&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1.

Cool
I agree that communication is essential to have a good clan/lance/group or whatever.
Got another question for you.
Are we going to compete on GameBattles.com with the Legionnaires? If so, are we going to wait before doing that until we get everything all layed out. Or are we more just going to play for the fun of it and not worry about officially competeing against other clans so much? Just curious.

thanks you for updating me i am shocked at what has happened and sadened, but i know we'll get over it when i get free time i WILL go over the role playing area, however my time is currently set on revising my for my driving theory which i have failed. heres a REAL question from my book, try and answer it: "You car is leaking oil. How much drinking water can be polluted from a single drop of oil? A: 600 litres B: 50 litres C: 8 litres" i mean ive often thought about that when driving..... anyway, back to the subject: i know first hand how much good a fresh start can do. In my opinion, comstar functioned better than Mech X (which i fondly remember ) and i KNOW that the Legionnaires will surpass comstar. Im just proud to be part of the team. I have a suggestion for the up-and-comming website: how about just changing the old Comstar website into a legionnaires one? i prefer the format of the forums to this one. i mean i could chip in and "copy and paste" in some of the library stuff etc etc into the other forum what do u think? L00N out ^__^

Keith -
My answer to your question is:
"Not as much as the Exxon Valdez leaked when it had its little "mishap" in the Arctic."
Gunman -
According to Captain Maxwell and General Aegis Kleais, General Doobie Doo and Captain Throw N Sparks are handling the Gamebattles.com stuff. As far as I know, we are going to be competing, though I would have to differ to either of those two for the details as to how that's going to be handled.
Now if you'll excuse me, my baked voodoo is getting cold.

What's up with the spelling of Lyran... why are so many people spelling it Lyrian? And what about these "brain" caches I keep on hearing about... aren't they Brian caches?

I'm unclear as to what you mean by "so many people," because when I ran a search for "Lyrian" and "brain" (where it should have read "brian"), I only got a handful of results, all of which appeared to have been posted by the same person, who was spelling both terms incorrectly.
To that end, wherever I noticed a misspelling, a correction was made on the poster's behalf. If you should notice any further misspellings, please direct them to the poster responsible, so that future mistakes can be prevented.
Thanks!

Heh, sorry for being a dick about it. I thought that the Lyrian spelling might actually be how Lyran was spelled before the novels started to be published. They used to call Kuritans "Kuritists."

What do the stars mean beneath our names? Are the colors important as well?

The stars are just used to differentiate between the ranks, and the colors are broken into three groups: contributors (green), forum moderators (blue), and site administrators (red). Anyone bearing a gold star is generally a recruit, an NPC, or a special exception to this rule.
