Just a quick question for you here...what system are you using for this RPG? Is it freeform, or are you using an gaming system, such as the CBT: RPG?

Thanks for your question! The roleplaying system here is freeform, but based within the restrictions of the BattleTech universe (i.e. - if it can't happen within the parameters of the established universe, it's not happening). As an example, BattleMech loadouts are determined this way - a 'Mech should be designed within the parameters of the CBT rules when at all possible, although we do recognize MechWarrior loadouts as well.

I would like to ask if you could tell me, which weapons are suitable for a direct assault with the Chidori. I would like an extra Gauss or two in those weapons, lol.

I believe Captain Gunman can best field this question, as Chidori was his brainchild.
Captain Gunman?

The Chidori was originally designed as a direct assault 'mech.
Im not 100% sure what you mean by a direct assault.
In my mind a direct assault is engaging in immediate combat from medium to short range with a target. If this is the case, then I'd say about the only change that you may wish to make to the design of the Chidori would be to exchange the LRM-10 for a Clan Streak SRM-6 or for 2 SRM-6s (non-streak)(the streaks lock on and are thus much more effective if you arent aware)
The Gauss rifle mounted on the right arm provides excellent damage and accuracy at all ranges. The LB-10X AC procides heavy hitting power at close range (shotgun style shell) or decent accuracy with same damage at long range (slug style shell) The 2 ERMLaser provide non ammunition based firepower that does medium damage at short to medium-long range (previous 2 weapons have longer range)
I hope that answers your question

Yeah, that's what i was thinking, but I think that a SRM might be suitable for this, and I occasionaly attack from long range, so the Gauss and Lasers will come in handy, thanks. I prefer lock-on SRM, are those harder to make room for?

Not at all, there are just as easy to install, just larger so there isnt as much room for ammunition.
you can get : Streak SRM-6 - 15 rounds (90 individual missiles, fired 6 at a time)
OR
Streak SRM-4 - 25 rounds (125 individual missiles, fired 4 at a time)

I'll take the latter, I don't really care about output, I care about if I can put it out or not, lol! Also, I would like to know if I could mount an extra Gauss on the Left arm, if the lasers there, we could add an extra barrel on the left and right, move the Gauss to the bottom, and the lasers to the top.

For the active campaign, should we make our loading of mechs and such in the 'mech bay(post there) or should we do it in the active campaign area? So, are you going to unveil the Pheonix in the 'mech bay or the active campaign? I feel like I'm getting to much into this thing Of course, that's a good thing, right?

Alright then just let the techs now your choice and they will get it all installed for you on board the Thorin.
You can either change your sig to show your current loadout, or I can do it for you, your choice.

Go ahead and start loading up in the Active Campaign...Captain Gunman will be overseeing the procedure, and as such I am certain he will be unveiling the Phoenix there as well. I will be along shortly...I am taking care of some admin duties first.

Ya, I could tell you admins are working hard. I posted my 'mech name, and it was changed quicker than I figured out I could change it myself.

Also, I would like to know if I could mount an extra Gauss on the Left arm, if the lasers there, we could add an extra barrel on the left and right, move the Gauss to the bottom, and the lasers to the top. If you were to mount the extra Gauss on the left arm, you would have to remove the Clan LB-10X AC, otherwise weight won't permit the extra weight. The original design had the Gauss in the right arm, LB-10X AC on the left arm, Clan LRM-10 on the right shoulder, with the 2 ER MLasers on the left shoulder. Changing the LRM-10 to a Streak SRM-4 will be no problem, but as I said before if you want the Gauss on the left arm, you'd have to drop the LB-10X AC. It's your call. **EDIT**
Oh and I'll be unveiling the Pheonix in the Active Campaign, and dont worry about getting into too much, I am too, but its a good thing ...... I think ? lol

Ahh, I think I'll drop the AC's, but keep 'em for me, I might need them later...
