This is the main hanger facility for the Legionnaires' base of operations on Sheratan. The facility is immense, and its curved, vaulted roofline extends for over a thousand feet into the distance. The structure is possibly the oldest on the installation, having been constructed by the original colonists of the Sheratan settlement as an aircraft maintainance facility.
Scores of crates, tools, vehicle, aircraft and BattleMech components lie stacked along the building's rusted, corrugated inner walls, some of them glinting in the rays of sunlight that filter in through the long, narrow rows of windows that run the length of the hanger, and presenting an atmosphere of clutter to an otherwise orderly location.
The dropship Thorin used to lie at berth here. A leviathan spacecraft, it was an ancient Star League-era vessel whose thousand-foot hull more closely resembled that of an old Earth zeppelin than a spaceworthy vehicle. Floating effortlessly on its repulsorlift drives, the vessel was tethered with ferrocables to four points on the floor of the hanger as technicians crawled across its silvery hull, performing maintainance on a myriad of its systems. Upon its gargantuan 'Mech bay doors, the crest of the Legionnaires was embossed, giving an even more stately appearence to a vessel that had been in service for hundreds of years. Unfortunately, the Thorin was destroyed during Operation MoonShield II, and has since been replaced with the Union-class DropShip Liberty.
A cool breeze wafts through the hanger, sending a shiver down your spine. The Quartermaster's office is here, should you wish to place an order for any sort of BattleTech.
Requests for BattleMechs not currently stocked by the Legionnaires, weaponry, and the like should be made here.

I slowly made my way to the hanger. I'd have to get a smaller mech or else I can't show off my stealthy skill. And they can't cost a whole lot. Not that I pay for it, but I don't want to waste valuable money.
Hmm, this door must lead into the hanger. As the door opened, I drop my jaw at the huge dropship in fromt of me. Now, I need to find the Quartermaster's room.
"Hey, excuse me, hey, over here."
The tech turned around. "Ya, do you need something. I'm kinda in a hurry here. Gotta go work on the Captain's mech.
"Ya, I need to know where the Quartermaster's room is. I'm getting my first 'mech after working here."
"Ya, it's that way. Just go over there, then through there."
"Alright, thanks alot."
I gave him a salute for his time. It took me awhile to actually find where the room was. Finally, though, I found it. It seemed there was someone in there, so I had to wait awhile. Finally, a man walked out, and he looked like he was high ranking. I gave him a salute, just in case. After that guy had left, I entered into the room.
"Hello, Sir. This is where I get to order my 'mech, correct?"
Yes, that is true
"Great, than my order is an Raven. I want it to have the standard equipment. I'll modify it to my needs with Legionnaire equipment."
"Alright, I'll get it for you. Just so you know, the loadout of isn't very pleasurable by MOST pilots. Of course, it's your choice. Oh, and it looks like you're new here. Good to have you.
"Thank you, Sir. Ya, I am new here. Oh, and about the mech, I know what I'm doing. Since it comes with an IFF jammer, and an ECM suit, I should be fine."
I gave a salute to show respect. After that, I left the room, and decided I should probably go have myself some well-earned food.

Walking into the Main Hanger I see Lieutenant Holmes exiting the Quarter Master's office as I pass him I stop and give him a salute.
"Hi there Lieutenant, get your battlemech ordered?"
"Yes sir I did."
"Good job, I trust you haven't had any difficulties here? It's good to have another MechWarrior among our ranks. I hope you can help us out with our upcoming OP, we'll need all the pilots we can get"
Giving the Lieutenant another quick salute I continue on to the Quarter Master's office myself.
Upon entering and closing the door I turn and face the Quarter Master, stepping up to his desk and leaning forward on it a little ways I look down at the orders on his desk.
"Can I help you captain?" asked the Quarter Master with a concerned tone, as I look straight up at him with a stern face.
"Well, there is a .... problem ......" suddenly bursting out laughing, I sit down holding my side as I collect myself. The Quarter Master looking confused as can be as I stop laughing.
"I couldn't help myself, just had to do that but I couldn't keep a straight face, you looked so serious. Anyways seriously I needed to make a few changes to that order, is it too late?"
"No sir, but if we make a change to it now the order will arrive..." typing a few keystrokes he looks at the monitor in front of him and his smile fades "Sir if we make any changes that shipment will arrive maybe 45 minutes before your scheduled to lift off, and if there are any delays it may not be here in time"
Smiling I respond, "Don't worry it'll be here before we lift off, the Techs can load it onto the drop ship and work on it there."
Leaning in close I quietly tell the Quarter Master the changes I wanted made to the delivery in order to avoid any prying ears, since it has to do with Pheonix I want to keep it a secret.
Standing up and turning around I leave the Quarter Master's office and exit the Main Hanger heading to my own personal quarters for some rest.

I enter the Quartermaster's office to find a man hunched over a desk. The man looks up from his stack of papers he was going over.
"Hello, you must be new here. I was just cross checking my paperwork. Units live and die by paper work you know. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"I just signed up. I was told this is where I get my ride."
"Yep, I'm the man to see. What's your pleasure?"
"BSW-S2 Bushwacker is my ride of choice. Got any of thoses sitting around?"
"I may have one. Want any mods if I find one?"
"Nope. Stock will be just fine, sir."
I snap a salute. The man chuckles and returns it. I turn to walk out the door.
"Welcome to the Legionaires."
Closing the door behind me I smile.
I think I'm going to like it here.

Hmmm lets see I think we have a Bushwacker in storage right now ...
The Quarter Master accessed the console on his desk and keyed in the query, pulling up the inventory list, and mummering to himself after Lieutenant Murphy had exited his office
Yes, yes, we have a bushwacker here..... well its got the LB-10X AC, .... and the ER Large Laser... hmmmmmm...... yes its got that AMS, ..... uh well its got a partially installed LRM-5 instead .... hmm lets see here we'll just pull up the weapons inventory and .............. god I hate this machine its sooooo slow, I have got to talk to Captain Gunman or Captain Maxwell about getting this thing fixed, I mean I run their entire inventory management and order processing through this piece of shit ..... oh here we go ..... let's see now yes we have the ammo, and .............. oh hey here we go 2 SRM-4s, looks like she'll be easy enough for the techs to outfit.
Keying the console again the Quarter Master brings up an internal comm channel to the mech bay.
Tech Sargeant Miller, this is the Quarter Master, come in Tech Sargeant Miller.
Quarter Master, this is Tech Sarge Miller, what is it?
You know that Bushwacker stored in alcove 12 sector 2? I need you to bring it out and make some changes to it.
Yes Sir, what changes are needed?
Replace that LRM05 or whatever is in the missile rack, with 2 SRM-4s, they should be in stock with ample ammuntion so it shouldnt be any trouble, also we need this done ASAP, it has to be ready for departure for OP Broken Arrow
Copy that Quarter Master, I've relayed the order already and some techs are getting the equipment now. Don't worry Sir it'll be ready for Broken Arrow. Who is it for may I ask?
It doesn't really matter who it is for Tech Sargeant, but if you must now its for a ..... looking through the paperwork sitting on his desk he finds the request for the Bushwacker and quickly reads the requestee. Turning back to the console he continues .... a Lieutenant Murphy, a new MechWarrior who's just joined up.
Thank you Sir, we'll have this Bushwacker up and running for this Murphy fellow in no time.
That's Lieutenant Murphy there Tech Sargeant. Quarter Master out.
Yes sir, Lieutenant Murphy....... Tech Sargeant Miller out.
Turning back to the mounds of paper work on his desk the Quarter Master continues to work away through the files mumbling incoherently to himself.
This was an Admin post to cover for the NPC Quarter Master.

I stride brisquely into the hangar, walking past the dropship and a new Leiutenant who I had not yet been introduced to and into the Quartermaster's office.
"Sgt. Miyamoto reporting for equipment." I announced sounding off like I had a pair.
"What do you want? If you think you need it I alrady can tell you I don't have it." the Quartermaster said in a tone that indicated he was not interested in helping me.
"Actually sir, begging your pardon, but I already have my Battlemech." I said, adjusting my Bushido blade as I spoke.
"What, whats this, you have your Mech?!!? Why wasnt I informed?" the Quartermaster demanded as his bean burrito exploded in the microwave behind him.
"Perhaps you had no need to know. Anyway, yes, I have already got my mech it's my Thor which I purchased at the beginning of my career. I need to register it here." I said to him.
"Well fine what is the loadout." he asked taking a huge bite of his burrito and pretty much ignoring me.
"Its a Thor with three clan LBX 10s and two ER Medium Lasers ECM LAMS Jump Jets and nothing more." I replied proudly.
"You're going to die in that Mech and you know it." said the quartermaster.
"Just you wait and see I am master of my own destiny." I told him and walked out.

I slowly stepped into the cramped confinement of the Quartermaster's office, with Captain Gunman at my side...
"Where's the Quarter Master?" I looked about the room...
"I don't know, that's quite odd."Captain Gunman replied, motionlessly...
We suddenly heard a crashing noise from inside the Quartermaster's bedroom. His shelves had fallen off the wall as the Quartermaster attempts to retrieve his bird...
"Help me please! My little "tweety bird" got out of his cage and is flying all around. I don't want him to alert our dog!"
All of a sudden a big black lab came scurring into the room and began chasing the little bird around the room. The dog knocked over all the supplies in the closet and on the nightstand. I finally decided to show Captain Gunman my full potential.
My eyelids flung open, wider than anyone has ever witnessed. The reddish tint of my eyes began to drop back as a slight hint of black and white shades formed. I raised my right hand with my palm facing skyward. Smoke began to appear in my palm and I streched it out into the air towards the dog and bird. Captain Gunman and the Quartermaster watched in horror. I slightly twitched my fingers and the smoke rising from the palm of my hand raced towards the dog and bird. The animals quickly engulfed the smoke into their bodies.
The animals were completely under my control now. I sent the dog away into the bathroom and I locked the door with my mind. The bird, I sent flying into its cage and that door was locked too. The smoke that engulfed the animals returned to the palm of my hand and dissapeared.
"I think its time I told you about me Captain Gunman."
"Alright Corporal, I'm listening."
"I have the ability to read minds, control other minds, and move things with my mind. A normal human uses 10% of their brain capacity, I use 80% of my brain capacity. Some consider my race as superhuman. I joined your mercenary group so that I may fight for my equal rights. Quartermaster,"
Yes, young one?
"I wish to have a light armored Reconaissance Elemental. One that I can easily move around in. Captain gunman, I would like to join your team as a scout and a medical officer. Is that alright sir?"

I, MechWarrior, recently enlisted, stride into the 'Mech bay, considering requesting the Chidori 'Mech, which, I think, could be very useful. I walk around to the Quartermaster's office, open the door, he notices me, and he asks, "Can I help you?" I respond, "Yes, I would like the Chidori, as it is, if needed, I will request assistance with modifications." "Thank you. just sign here... here, thanks. It's all yours." "Excellent, I've been looking forward to this." Just then, Captain Gunman walks in and says...

Standing in amazement as Corporal Shea controls the animals, I turn to him with a look of shock.
Ummm uhhhh, yeah the Battle Armour suit will be fine, what armaments would you like? responds the Quartermaster shakily.
I nodded and gathered myself, turning back to Corporal Shea.
That was quite a display there Corporal, I trust that if you are allowed among our ranks you will keep that ability of yours in check. And under no circumstances will you ever use that ability on any member of the Legionnaires, do I make myself PERFECTLY clear Corporal?
If agree to that then, yes we will accept you into the ranks, once you let the Quartermaster know what armanents you want on your Battle Armour suit it will be readied for you immediately.
Turning I head out of the Quartermaster's office and begin heading towards bay 8, but before leaving MechWarrior walks in to the Quartermaster's office and requests the Chidori Cauldron Born.
Stopping, I turn to face MechWarrior and look him up and down rather slowly.
So your interested in the Chidori MechWarrior? Im trusting you will take good care of it, its a great 'mech and .... After a moments pause I continue ... I have a somewhat personal attachement to the 'mech. I want you to bring it, and yourself, back in one piece MechWarrior. That is all.
Turning again I head out of the Quartermaster's office, believing that MechWarrior will take good care of the Chidori I head over the bay 8 to check on my new ride Pheonix and see if it's ready for loading onto the dropship Thorin yet.

Making a mental note to keep myself and the 'Mech together, I go to the Mech Bay to check on the Chidori and assist with certain... modifications. "Oh, I'm going to have a lot of fun with this thing." That is, after I get some things...

I walk quickly into the QuarterMaster's office. Looking at the Quartermaster, it looked lik he had just done alot of work in a little time. I had to be quick for two reasons now. The Pheonix was going to be unveiled in less than 30 minutes, and I needed to make a qucik request so not to bother the Quartermaster too much.
"Excuse me, sir. Sorry to bother you so soon again, but I think I need to name my 'mech, and I thought this would be the place to do it. So, I know I'm being quick, but I want my 'mech named Silent Echo. Alright, now I got to go."
I gave a salute and left before he even had a chance to say a word.

"man... this place sure is huge, sure feels like the one at home" jak said to himself. "Sure hope they have one of those Thors i love to hell."
"Thors you say?" a middle aged man with the word "Quartermaster" stitched just above the left chest pocket of a dark blue overalls
"Er, yes Sir! I'll like to have one, complete with jump jets and if u would allow, a couple of clan LBX10s a PPC and 4 ERmedium Lasers"
"I'll see to it, but clan tech is pretty hard to find in such large amounts, so dont hope for too much, and you gonna give it a name?"
"No prob, sir! As for the name, i'll call it HardkickTTB
"TTB?"
"To The Bum" Jak gave a smile and headed toward the nearest food source, his tummy growling for attention

Victor walked into the Hanger, a datapad tucked under his right arm. He approached the Quartermaster's office, and took the datapad out from under his arm. Setting it on the Quartermaster's desk, he gave a crisp salute.
"Sir. This datapad contains all the information on my personal mech HA1-OE Hauptmann, serial number LC7184-13X. A transport team should be arriving within the hour to deliver the machine. Is everything in order?"
The quartermaster, somewhat bemused at the the young man's salute, none the less looked at datapad.
"Hmm...everything seems to be in order. We'll get her preped and ready when the time comes."

I looked at the datapad, trying to figure out why this kid wanted a pink Hauptmann. I threw the device onto my desk, and the screen flickered to the proper color. Damn cheap technology.
I belched loudly, then wiped the bits of lunch from my mouth. Checking over my inventory, I gleefuly scratched "Assault Mechs" from the "Available BattleMech Inventory" category.
"We're full up on Assault 'Mechs. Can't accomodate anymore right now." I announced to my goldfish.

"We're full up on Assault 'Mechs. Can't accomodate anymore right now."
Victor shook his head in disbelief...
"So you don't have the ability to handle and store another assault mech? That's troubling, but not crippling...let me call in a few favors..."
Victor sat down, and began typing something on his noteputer.
