Welcome to the BattleMech facility. An ancient, ferrocrete and steel structure, located adjacent to the the DropShip Liberty's berth, the hanger is immense, and stretches into the distance before you. A set of massive, weatherworn steel blast doors rest partially open, providing just enough access to allow crew and pilots to come and go, protecting the twelve leviathan BattleMechs which loom over you. Two metal staircases flank the doors, leading up to a large metal gantryway which runs the length of the bay, allowing access to the alcoves which house their lethal occupants.
Technicians swarm around you, tending to the steel giants, some driving power loaders laden with ammunition and components. Laborers go about the task of restocking the three massive bays reserved for component storage, dwarfed by the gargantuan gauss rifles, autocannons, armor plates, and ammunition boxes they are unloading. In the repair wing of the hanger, sparks cascade down from a trio of repair alcoves, the light from their arc welders casting eerie shadows on the ‘Mechs they are servicing. Incandescent lamps which line the ceiling bathe the commotion below in a ghostly pall, and the smell of ozone, mixed with the scent of oil and smoke, fills the air, adding to the haunting ambience.
As you take in the sights, a salvage rig rumbles past you, laden with the treasures of a successful campaign. The shattered remnants of a Raven ride high atop the convoy of spoils, serving as a stoic reminder that it is always better to be the hunter than the hunted.
A cool breeze wafts through the hanger, sending a shiver down your spine.
Here you will find the Quartermaster's office, should you wish to place an order for any sort of Battlemech or personal equipment.
This is the place to post requests for BattleMechs not currently stocked by the Legionnaires, or upgrades and refits of and for your current BattleMech. All posts should be carried out in roleplaying format.

NOTE: Due to the Version 4 'upgrade,' all messages posted to the original 'Mech Bay thread were lost. However, I had saved a backup of the board out of fear that this might happen. You can access the original 'Mech Bay by clicking here. All replies MUST be posted to the current 'Mech Bay, as the old one only exists as an image now. If you attempt to post a reply to the 'old' 'Mech bay, you will not be successful. I apologize for this, and encourage anyone who had a post in the original 'Mech bay to please re-post it here. In the interim, I have restored as many posts as possible.
The 'Mech list is now located in the "Inventory" thread to streamline things a bit.

Striding quickly into the mech bay, having just come from the Officer's Lounge, I head past all the techs busily running about working on the various 'mechs preparing for the upcoming OP. A tech runs up to me from the side, slightly out of breath with a clipboard in hand. Turning to him I see he is an intermediate level tech based on his uniform badge insigna and ID."Sir, ... the checklist for your ... 'mech, Sir" He breaths heavily as he hands me the clipboard. "Thank you Sargeant, there was no need for you to run all the way across the 'mech bay though" I look down at the clipboard and quickly scan down through it nodding off every item as I read through it. "I wanted to catch you before you left, Sir" He replied, obviously having caught his breath quickly, I look up at him from the clipboard and smile a bit. "Well done Sargeant, if you put this much effort into all your duties, as I hear you do, then your likely to be in line for a promotion soon. Keep up the good work." A large smile spreads across the tech's face before he straightens up and gets serious snapping a quick salute before turning and running back the way he came. "Sir, Yes Sir!""Oh and Sargeant, send the 'Chief' over here will you?" I call out to the tech as he's leaving, he turns around quickly and agrees before running off to fin the 'Cheif'. Continueing on my way towards stall 8, I pass the large crate of HE and remember that I need to move that before I can take Pheonix anywhere...
Reaching stall 8 I see that the 'Cheif' is already there and standing by the large shipment that arrived early this morning. A large smile spreading across my face as I approach, the 'Cheif' looking just as happy and anxious to get it open and see what was inside as I was."Well Cheif you sure got here fast" I replied and then smiled as I see the small hover transport parked just around the corner of the stall as though he was attempting to hide it. "Well I guess your pretty excited to get into this shipment huh?" "You bet I am, I've got a loader and a construction 'mech booked for the next couple of hours so we can get through all this stuff right away." Said the Cheif, about the only tech that is comfortable enough to just talk normally with me without regard for rank, understandable since he's been my tech since I first became a MechWarrior several years ago.
Smiling I turn to the large boxes of the shipments and nod towards the Cheif "Well then, let's get started." Working quickly we arrange all the shipment boxes in the order indicated on the labels and begin opening them, the loader headed off for another job but the construction mech stayed and assisted with the opening of the boxes. As we neared the end of the shipment, the Cheif's eyes were getting wider and wider, finally we came to the final large box and as the contruction mech lifted off the lid, the Cheif almost fainted. "Are those??..... Are those what I think they are?" Asked the Cheif a little shakily.
Smiling I respond "You bet they are, dual Rotary Autocannon 5's, best that money can buy, or at least our funds anyways. And I can tell what your thinking, and your right, it's time to resurrect Pheonix that bastard 'mech that took down John. But by the time you techs are finished, it won't even resemble that old bastard." "Now I want this to be a top priority, get as many men as you can working on it, but DO NOT neglect any other tasks, do you understand Cheif?" My sudden change in tone from friendly and enthuisiastic to authourative quickly caused him to snap a salute and respond with"Sir, yes Sir!Smiling again I turn and head out of the 'mech bay going towards my quarters before meeting up with Captain Maxwell in the breifing room later on. Thinking about how great it'll be to get the Pheonix up and running. Of course .... it won't be the same old 'mech as before. Those parts I ordered are for a Mad Cat Mk II, this 'mech will be jury rigged a little, but the components are nearly identical so I know the techs won't have too much trouble, I just can't wait to get the beast running.

A cacaphony of noise and activity greeted us as Captain Gunman and I returned to the 'Mech bay. Technicians scrambled about releasing cables, moving components, and orchestrating the general mayhem that ensued in the hours preceeding a mission's launch. As the Captain and I made our way past the towering entry doors which had been rolled open wide to allow the hanger's multi-ton occupants to make their way to the waiting confines of the DropShip Thorin's drop bay, a klaxon began sounding off and amber strobes bathed the bay in a flickering golden light as the first of the 'Mechs our lance would be comprised of, Sergeant LeatherNeck's Cougar, took its first steps out of its alcove and stomped past us into the daylight, headed across the tarmac to its staging point.
"The little guys don't seem so little from down here, now do they?" I laughed, as we made our way toward alcoves seven, where my Stalker lay at berth, and eight, which had been cleared of its supplies and components to provide temporary housing for the Phoenix. The two bays stood directly across from each other, and as we approached, I could see the prominent nose of Fury, my BattleMech, protruding from its bay, but the stall where Gunman's Mad Cat should have been had been covered with a long, black tarp that defeated all attempts to determine what lay within.
"So, when's the unveiling?"

Walking in through the doorway into the 'mech bay we are greeted with a barrage of sounds of heavy machinery and people shouting as techs run left and right amonst the mayhem. Chuckling a little at Captain Maxwell's remark about the 'little guys' as we make our way towards bay seven and eight.
Turning to Maxwell as we reach them, the large black curtain draped over bay eight behind us.
"So when's the unveiling?" Captain Maxwell asked, the less than subtle tone of curiousness apparent as he leans to the side peaking around me as a tech comes rushing out of the bay.
As the curtain is thrown open to the side a little a slight breeze catches it and pulls it open farther, revealing a large three toed metal foot, connected to a 'mech's version of a shin looking much thicker and more robust than a Mad Cat's usually is. A tech quickly grabs the curtain and pulls it back to cover the bay again so as to keep prying eyes out.
Smiling at Captain Maxwell's noticeable curiousness I lean over so I'm directly in his view and chuckle.
"I don't know exactly when it is myself Maxwell, but ... a little anxious are we?"
"Sir, excuse me sir." Came the voice of the tech that just exited bay eight. Turning around to face him he hands me a clipboard and stands at attention.
"The progress report on Pheonix Sir."
Looking it over and nodding in approval I hand it back to the tech, who quickly snaps a saulte and heads back into the bay, more careful this time to make sure the black tarp doesnt get away from him when he passes by it. Turning to Captain Maxwell, smiling "Well it looks like it'll be about 2 hours before we lift off, it'll be unveiled before moving onto the Thorin."

Laying in bed drifiting in and out of sleep, I am suddenly startled awake by a persistent loud piercing beep. Rolling over in bed I vaguely see comm light blinking repeatedly under my heavy eyelids. Shaking my self trying to wake up a little, I look over at the time as I punch the comm, the Quarter Master's excited voice blaring through the speaker.
Captain Gunman, Captain Gunman, are you awake?
Well I am now ...more or less, I say groggily as I let out a big yawn and stretch. You do realize its not even 0600 hours yet, and Im off duty right?
Yes I know sir, but I thought you would like to know, your new toy has arrived sir.
New toy?...Still rather groggy and not fully awake, his words didnt register in my mind right away.
Yes sir, the one with that real hefty price tag, you've been saving up for...
His words suddenly registering in my sleepy mind, I snap wide awake and respond excitedly, cutting him off mid-sentece You mean it's here finally? I didnt think I finished paying for it yet though
Yes sir, well sir, you had enough money in the seperate account to finish paying for it so I went ahead and ordered it as soon as I could as you told me to. It just arrived here this morning, about 30 mins ago now.
Your a good man Quarter Master, I'll be down there shortly
Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I hastily throw on the nearest clothes to me, which happens to be a pair of old jeans and clean shirt, and I run out the door through the barren halls of the Barracks, and out into the rather cool morning air. Taking a deep breath I walk briskly across the Legionnaires compound and into the 'mech bay, heading towards the Quarter Master's office, he meets me just outside his door. Leading me around the corner he holds his hands out to the large shipment that came in.
The large tarp still drapped over it with many of the endo-steel laced roping in place, most of the packaging had already been removed as various 'techs worked away at removing the remaining shipping materials. I stood there as excited as could be on the inside, while trying to maintain a mildly interested composure on the outside.
I couldn't believe it, it was finally here, my brand new BattleMaster BLR-L1

I sprayed coffee across my 'desk' (an empty LRM crate) and fell off me 'chair' (a discarded ejection seat), nearly braining myself on the wall of me new 'office' (an empty space in the far corner of the Liberty's 'Mech bay, surrounded by spare parts and salvage) as the Sergeant appeared out of wot seemed like no-where, rattling off the specs of his new toy.
I pulled meself to my feet, kicking the now-empty mug across the floor of the large bay, where it shattered into thousands of pieces at the foot of Captain Gunman's 'Mech. I hoped he wouldn't notice.
I snatched the data pad from the Sergeant's outstretched hand and gave it a good going-over.
"Wot's this? A Thanatos?!? Bloody hell!" I bellowed, slamming me fist on the top of my terminal's monitor. The screen turned purple...more of a lavender, really, and I stood entranced by its soothing shade for long moments.
"Something the matter, Quartermaster?"
I snapped out of my trance.
"Yeah. I showered with Borox™ last night, and its given me a bloody awful rash."
The Sergeant looked baffled.
"I meant with my requisition, Sir."
I stared at the pad for a moment, and swallowed a couple of Buffout pills. For me 'ealth and all that, of course.
"Yeah. You said it's busted. Wot're you gonna make me fix on this thing?"

Sergei Zhukov's Panther post:
After a long and hard period of deciding what I should pilot, I opted for a medium mech over my usual 65 ton Bulldog Tank variant. I decided that I would requisition a Shadow Cat for the time being.
I can always order my Bulldog later.
My mech.

I watched Quartermaster pop a Microwave Burrio in a Microwave (Which was actually a PPC's Particle generator wired to a timer. I was actually impressed, because for the time he typed on the keypad was how long the Particles generated. Then, the Generator stopped when the timer ran out.)
"Well, Quartermaster, there is a lot wrong with this mech, actually."
"Wot's wrong?"
"The computer's targeting system inverted somehow, making friendlies appear as RED, and enemies as GREEN."
"Also, I'm out of Gauss ammunition. One of my pulse lasers is burn out, and a particle generator is burnt out. As for the AC, It is somewhat low on ammo."
"The left leg's support system was destroied. Also, there are burns on the chassis. Shouldn't take long to fix. Captain Maxwell and I are finding other errors in the Simulator."
Good luck.

"I'll see what I can do."
I reached for a vial of Jet. For the 'ealth, 'n all...
